Showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, Uva, Southern and Central provinces and in Kaluthara district

On 28 December 2025, the Department of Meteorology issued a weather forecast indicating that showers would occur in several provinces and districts. Misty conditions were also expected in specific areas during the early morning hours.
